A man from Fond du Lac has been convicted after selling drugs that caused a fatal overdose.
43-year-old Jeremy Stoll was convicted of First-Degree Reckless Homicide by Delivering Drugs on Thursday (February 13th) after entering a no contest plea.
He was facing an additional count of First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
However, that offense was dismissed by Fond du Lac County Judge Tricia Walker.
FOX11 reports that the 43-year-old sold heroin to Russell Barton in June 2022, which was laced with fentanyl.
Barton was found unconscious by his father, and when police arrived, he was pronounced dead with evidence of a drug overdose near his body.
An autopsy confirmed Barton had cocaine, meth, and fentanyl in his system, amongst other drugs, at the time of his passing.
Stoll will return to court on June 2nd for his sentencing hearing.
