
The Brillion/Valders/Chilton and Kiel boys swim teams are both headed to state.
The squad took home the sectional crown with 378 points in the Plymouth pool, followed by Cedarburg with 371, and Grafton rounding out the top three with 307 points.
Kiel/Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah was 4th with 205, while the host Panthers finished 7th with 113 and the Two Rivers/Roncalli co-op was 9th with 101.
The BVC relay team of Bryce Hedtke, Killian Armstrong, Kevin Halverson, and Adam Brunnell earned gold in the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays, while Armstrong and Hedtke also earned individual gold in the 400 individual medley and 50 freestyle respectively, and silver in the 100 breaststroke, and 100 backstroke respectively.
Brunnell finished 2nd in the 100 freestyle and 3rd in the 50 freestyle, while William Deehr earned bronze in the 200 individual medley.
As for the Kiel/Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah squad, Aaron Fenderwisch was the top finisher in the 100 freestyle, while also being a part of the 3rd place 200 freestyle relay team with Kauai Lueck, Samuel Keuler, and Daniel Madson.
Madson was also 2nd in the 500 freestyle, and Sawyer Moore was 2nd in diving.
The state Swim and Dive Championships are scheduled for this weekend at Waukesha South High School.
Division 2 champions will be crowned Friday (February 21st), and the Division 1 meet is Saturday.
