
62 students from around Eastern Wisconsin, including eleven from Manitowoc County, will be traveling to Appleton this week for the SkillsUSA Wisconsin Regional Competition.
Fox Valley Technical College is hosting the event on Friday (February 21st), which will showcase a variety of events focused on trade skills.
Two Rivers High School is sending four students to compete, while Mishicot has seven students on the list.
Other area schools sending contingents include Kewaunee (18 students), Green Bay Southwest (3 students), Green Bay Preble (12 students), West De Pere (3 students), Appleton West (1 student), Oshkosh North (14 students), and Oshkosh West (6 students).
Those who place in the regional competition will advance to participate in the 52nd annual SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership and Skills Conference in Madison.
The 2025 conference will feature more than 1,750 middle, high school, and college/post-secondary students, over 200 teachers, and more than 300 industry volunteers working in over 75 competitions.
