
A man was arrested in Manitowoc after threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend.
Officers were called to a residence in the 1300 block of North 8th Street just before 4:30 Thursday evening on a report of a physical altercation.
The victim told police that she and her ex-boyfriend had gotten into a verbal altercation about her having a new boyfriend.
The woman showed police an audio recording of the incident, where the 22-year-old suspect allegedly became enraged after the woman denied a hug.
According to the police report, a physical altercation can be heard before the man says “I wanna murder you. I wanna beat the blood out of your (expletive) face. I wanna watch your body leave every ounce of blood out of your body.”
He also allegedly said, “I wanna hug your bloodless body.”
The investigators spoke with the suspect at the Manitowoc Police Department, where he allegedly began punching a concrete wall.
The man denied any physical altercation.
He was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana and was placed under arrest on charges of Strangulation and Suffocation, Simple Battery, and Disorderly Conduct, each with domestic violence enhancers, along with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and THC, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
