
A Two Rivers man will be spending some time in prison in a fentanyl delivery case.
47-year-old James N. Cartwright was found guilty due to no contest pleas on three counts of Manufacturing or Delivering Fentanyl and was ordered by Judge Mark Rohrer to spend one year in prison followed by two years on extended supervision.
Two additional charges of the same were dismissed but read into the record, along with one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Cartwright has a lengthy history of run-ins with the law dating back to 1998.
His rap sheet includes convictions for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a Schedule 1 or 2 Narcotic, Party to the Crime of Burglary, two counts each of Delivering Heroin and Misdemeanor Retail Theft, along with four counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
As a part of his sentencing, Cartwright was ordered to undergo assessments, treatment, and counseling, maintain full-time employment, schooling, job search, or a combination, maintain absolute sobriety, and submit to random urine screening.
Cartwright is eligible for the county’s drug abuse program.
