The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office continues to curb the number of drugs making it out on the streets.
The sheriff’s office shared information about another incident in late December when a sheriff’s deputy pulled over a rental vehicle for a moving violation on Interstate 41.
The 32-year-old driver claimed he was visiting family in Milwaukee and was heading back to Appleton.
The sheriff’s deputy developed a reasonable suspicion of illegal drug activity and K9 Ace was called in to assist.
Ace positively alerted on the rental vehicle and the vehicle was searched.
The sheriff’s office says they found 158 grams of cocaine, three cell phones, and $622 in cash.
The man was arrested and is being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail on a $15,000 cash bond for possession with intent to distribute cocaine and a violation of his parole.
The 32-year-old has a criminal history dating back to 2008 which includes violations of armed robbery, battery, fleeing and eluding as well as numerous narcotics violations.
