Two high school students have been arrested for planning a school shooting in Campbellsport.
WBAY reports that The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office received word of the threat yesterday (February 11th) from the School Resource Deputy for the Campbellsport School District.
Investigations have shown that two 9th grade students made comments and threats to both staff and fellow students involving plans to conduct a school shooting.
Both teenagers were arrested and placed in secure detention ahead of future court hearings on the criminal charges they are facing.
At this time there is no immediate threat to public safety.
However, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and Campbellsport Police Department will have extra patrols around Campbellsport schools today to help students and staff feel safe.
