There is a lot of evidence to be looked through before the mother of Elijah Vue returns to court again.
During a scheduling conference for 32-year-old Katrina Baur, Attorney Amber Gratz said she is still receiving evidence in the case and needs more time.
District Attorney Jacalyn LaBre explained that Elijah’s case has an unusually large amount of evidence, so they aren’t expecting to be back in court until the summer.
Judge Anthony Lambrecht set another scheduling conference date for June 13th at 9:00 am.
Baur did not appear in court today (February 12th), but she could appear in June.
She is facing charges in Elijah’s death after he was first reported missing close to a year ago.
His remains were found in the Town of Two Rivers in September last year near Manitou Drive and Kristy Bob Lane.
Baur is charged in a criminal complaint with sending the toddler to her boyfriend Jesse Vang’s apartment in Two Rivers for discipline and to “correct his bad behavior.”
Message between the two also showed that Baur wanted Elijah to not hate Vang, but to fear him.
Baur faces a charged of chronic child neglect causing death, neglecting a child, and two counts of obstruction.
