
The Chilton Tigers have been crowned the EWC wrestling champions.
Chilton finished the Saturday tournament with 261 team points and three first-place wrestlers, while Kiel earned silver as a team with 225.5.
Valders followed them with 198, Brillion with 172, Two Rivers with 143.5, Sheboygan Falls with 142.5, and New Holstein managed 53 points.
Gregory Hellendrung, in the 106-pound weight class, earned gold for the Tigers, 113-pound grappler Ayden Daul, and Drayk Nolan at 138.
Kiel had five individual winners, including Logan Schad at 120, Brady Kienbaum at 144, Mason Schaefer at 150, Edward LeMieux at 175, and Ben Kienbaum at 215.
Valders, Brillion, and Two Rivers had two wrestlers earn gold medals.
Jack Wendling won the 126-pound weight class for the Vikings, while Brayden Lenz was the top 157-pound wrestler.
The Lions’ Ethan Hoyer won the 132-pound competition, while Weston Schmidt won in 165.
Raiders winners were Gavin Glaser at 190 and Max Mathias at 285.
WIAA regionals will be held this Saturday.
