Damage from a fire in a local home was minimized thanks to the quick reaction time of fire crews.
The Town of Two Rivers Fire Department was called to a residence on East Hillcrest Road, north of the City of Two Rivers this morning for a reported house fire.
Fire Chief Mark Leichtfuss tells SeehaferNews.com that the fire was between the first and second floor on the interior and exterior, but was quickly extinguished by his fire crews.
He said the incident was a “pretty good save by everybody”, minimizing the damage to the home.
The cause of the blaze was said to be “chimney related”, causing an estimated $15,000 in damage, and no injuries were reported.
The residents were allowed back inside, and are said to be living on the first floor of the home.
