An annual St. Patrick’s Day-themed event through The Haven Manitowoc County is just around the corner.
The 7th year of Shamrocks for Shelter kicks off on Saturday, March 15th, from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm at Knox’s Silver Valley.
Haven Executive Director Alex Hunt explained on WOMT’s Be My Guest program that their most significant event is the cornhole tournament, and right now, they’re looking for teams of people who are looking to have fun.
“We encourage people to dress up for a St. Patty’s Day theme,” he explained. “So, my wife and I the last couple of years that we’ve gone, we wear all this ridiculous stuff. Big clover glasses and all green stuff.”
A winner for the best costume will be picked.
Shamrocks for Shelter also includes food and raffles.
All the money raised goes back to The Haven.
