The Manitowoc County Fish & Game Protective Association handed out some awards at its annual meeting.
The meeting was held at city limits in Manitowoc on January 30th where Bill Peroutka was granted a Life Membership.
This is the organization’s highest award and is only given to members with a strong history of service.
Dean Halverson was also given a special recognition award for his ongoing service to the group and to his input.
Paul Tuschel of the Banquet Committee also presented the non-profit with a check for $50,000, representing the proceeds from the 2024 banquet that was completed in late October.
The meeting featured a range of community and state updates from members of government and the DNR and just over 70 were in attendance.
