A Manitowoc man charged with attacking a teen at the Harbor Town Ln Taco Bell in 2023 has been convicted.
45-year-old Aaron Shelton pleaded no contest to two charges, including disorderly conduct and felony bail jumping.
Four other charges, including strangulation and suffocation and child abuse causing great bodily harm, were dismissed but read into the record.
He was sentenced to four years of probation for the incident.
According to a criminal complaint, Shelton was making noise at the restaurant’s front counter when a manager told him to stop.
He pushed the teen into the drive-thru window before the manager grabbed the man’s shirt.
That led to punches being thrown and the fight spilling into the lobby.
After a pause, Shelton attacked the teen again, wrapping his hands around the victim’s neck and slamming them into the lobby area.
The two were separated again before Shelton threatened to return.
He did return, but Manitowoc Police arrested him.
As part of probation, he must maintain full-time employment and go to treatment as deemed appropriate by the DOC.
