UW Health officials are urging people to refrain from pointing lasers at Med Flight helicopters after two separate incidents occurred this week.
Law enforcement is looking into the situations, where laser beams hit helicopter crews on Tuesday in different locations.
Officials stress that lasers can temporarily impair pilots’ vision or even cause retinal damage, making such actions extremely dangerous.
It is also a federal offense to shine a laser at an aircraft.
The FAA has been alerted about the incidents.
