The Manitowoc Lincoln baseball team has some big plans for Municipal Field.
The team has been raising money for a project they are calling the Municipal Field Rebirth Project, which includes numerous upgrades.
If they are able to raise the full $2 million, the field would receive new field turf and fencing, a new concessions stand with bathrooms, additional seating, new bleachers, and new field lighting.
As of the latest update, the team has collected a total of $1.2 million, with $900,000 of that coming from the Manitowoc Public School District.
The field recently had a new scoreboard installed, thanks to sponsorships from several local businesses.
