A Madison man has been sentenced to 10 years of probation after fatally shooting his son in 2023.
John Shively, who pleaded guilty to first-degree recklessly endangering safety, was initially charged with first-degree intentional homicide for the death of his 25-year-old son, Zachary, in July 2023.
According to authorities, the shooting stemmed from a heated argument over $2.50, and Shively stated that he wanted to end the verbal dispute when the tragic event occurred.
