
A nonprofit in Sheboygan County is opening applications for residents to become new homeowners.
Habitat for Humanity Lakeside has opened up applications for Sheboygan County residents today (February 4th) for the Home Buyer program.
Requirements for an individual or family to take part in the Habitat for Humanity Home Buyer program include being a resident in the county for at least six months, must be able to make mortgage payments, and must demonstrate the need amongst other factors.
Along with the application period opening will be five public information sessions with the first taking place today at 2:00 p.m. at the Grand Stay Suites Hotel in Sheboygan.
In order to be considered during the application process, an applicant must attend one of the five info sessions happening in both Sheboygan and Plymouth.
Applications will be accepted through March 31st.
