The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has been active in getting harmful drugs off the streets over the past few months.
They have revealed the details of four separate drug busts made by deputies and K9 units involving fentanyl and other narcotics.
In November on I-41 a vehicle pulled over for speeding led to the seizure of 29 grams of methamphetamine and 29 grams of fentanyl along with the arrest of two individuals.
On December 3rd, another traffic stop led to three arrests and the discovery of 29 grams of purple fentanyl, one gram of gray fentanyl, and two grams of methamphetamine.
December 13th’s stop, also on I-41, ended in the seizure of a bag of white powder weighing 48 grams, grey powder weighing 15 grams, and blue fentanyl chunks weighing 6 grams.
Days later on December 16th, a fourth traffic stop in the county uncovered 71.5 grams of black fentanyl, and all three occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
In the four instances, all nine individuals were either wanted for or previously convicted of serious drug-related charges.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has also said the majority of those arrested are not local residents but rather individuals traveling to the area to distribute these dangerous drugs.
