All four Manitowoc Youth Hockey teams will be battling for a state title.
The Squirt A and B teams, along with the Peewee B team competed in the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association playdowns over the weekend and swept their competition.
The 10 and under Squirt B team dominated the ice at the Crawford Center in Shawano, taking down the host Hawks 8-0, and cruising to a 9-0 win against Waupaca to earn their spot in the tournament hosted by Hayward.
The Squirt A team also had a smooth ride, taking down Marinette 7-1.
Both 10U squads will be in action the weekend of March 1st, with the A team traveling to West Salem.
Meanwhile, the 12U Peewee B team had a much tougher path to state.
The Breakers went to overtime against Marinette, winning 7-6, before sneaking out a 4-3 win over Waupaca.
Their state tournament will be held March 8th and 9th in Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells.
The Peewee A team did not have to compete in a playdown, as they will be hosting the 2025 state tournament, also the weekend of March 8th.
This is the second time in four years that all eligible teams in the Manitowoc County Youth Hockey Association qualified for state.
