A Sun Prairie man, Cashius Carter, is facing charges for illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition.
Prosecutors allege that Carter had a loaded Glock handgun and ammunition between June 21 and September 26 of last year.
He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
The charges stem from an investigation by the Fitchburg Police Department and the ATF Madison Crime Gun Task Force.
