A Sheboygan man charged with disarming a police officer before he was shot is still waiting to decide if he’ll go to trial.
According to court records, 23-year-old Tommie Dixon was in Sheboygan County Court on Wednesday over the phone for a scheduling conference.
Dixon’s Attorney, Ryan Dicke, says they have discovered the case but are still waiting on a video.
Judge Judith DeRuyter asked how long it would take to get the video to the defense before District Attorney Joel Urmanski responded that the defense should have it soon.
Dixon returns to court on February 11th at 10:30 for a status conference.
Police alleged that he lunged and disarmed an officer, which led to a second officer firing at him.
The Sheboygan Press says he was shot eight times.
