The Manitowoc County Board is looking to improve the Manitowoc County Airport.
The board voted last week to petition for airport improvement aid.
Some of the work that could be done if approved would include crack seal and seal coat airport pavements, airport lighting reconstruction, and clearing and maintaining runway approaches.
If the petition is successful, the county will be eligible for grant funding for the work they want to do.
According to county documents, there would be no impact on the tax levy, and no modifications to the county’s budget would be needed.
