Another former county board member from Manitowoc has passed away.
William, “Bill”, Geigel, who represented District 8 from 1994 to 2000 died at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers on Sunday (January 26th) at the age of 92.
Geigel and his brother graduated from Lincoln High School in 1951 before serving in the Korean Conflict.
He was married two times and raised eight children.
He was a life-long member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish and dedicated hours of service to St. Vincent de Paul.
County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer says flags around the county will be flown at half-staff on the day of his funeral, which takes place this Friday (January 31st).
Services will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Parish on Waldo with burial to happen at Evergreen Cemetery.
