
A Manitowoc native is being honored by a statewide leadership organization.
Hannah Dvorak, a student at UW Stevens Point was named a recipient of a 2024-2025 Student Leader Scholarship from the Tommy G. Thompson Center on Public Leadership.
The group recognized 15 students in the University of Wisconsin system each year who display dedication, inventiveness and leadership at their respective campuses.
Dvorak is involved in the UW-Stevens Point National Student Speech Language Hearing Association chapter and Chi Alpha ministry group.
When she isn’t on campus, she works in respite care supporting individuals with special needs.
She also volunteers on mission trips, having recently led two.
The $3,000 scholarship will help Dvorak receive her degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
