A middle school teacher in Sheboygan has received an award for outstanding education.
WEA Member Benefits has named Bradley Traas of Horace Mann Middle School a recipient of the Outstanding Educator Award.
Currently, Traas teaches eighth-grade algebra and attempts to bring innovation into his teaching daily.
With the use of interactive activities, Traas transforms his classroom into an engaging and dynamic learning space for his students.
His work in the classroom is most known for creating a safe space for students to thrive both academically and personally.
After the announcement, Traas said, “I have been extremely fortunate to have worked with some amazing colleagues who have helped me grow as a teacher and a person,” he said.
“And teaching allows me to remain a kid at heart.”
Traas is one of eight educators from Wisconsin to receive the 2024-2025 Outstanding Educator Award from WEA Member Benefits.
