The woman charged with giving the “worst whooping ever” has entered a plea in her case.
Court records show that 29-year-old Dijonte Lockbridge pleaded not guilty in a Manitowoc County Courtroom Monday (January 20th) after she waived her right to a preliminary hearing.
Wednesday (January 22nd), her bond was also reduced from $5,000 to $500.
Her conditions are that she cannot have contact with two children, has no contact with her co-defendant, and must maintain absolute sobriety.
In December, Manitowoc Police said they became involved after child protective services were contacted by a teacher at a Manitowoc elementary school.
The victim said she’d received the “worst whooping ever” and wasn’t coming to school that day.
Lockbridge allegedly struck the victim with a belt repeatedly.
She will be back in court on March 19th for a scheduling conference.
She’s facing two charges of child abuse causing harm.
