A man is facing charges after Manitowoc Police say he threatened to shoot up a local business.
Police were called on Wednesday (January 22nd) to the business, redacted in the police report, to talk to Human Resources.
Workers said the suspect was upset about not getting his paycheck, which caused him to allegedly say, “I going to shoot these *expletives* if I don’t get my pay.”
The police report said that the 48-year-old was late for work multiple times and would be fired soon.
When the leaders at the business confronted the suspect, they said he denied making the shooting comment but said incidents like these “cause people to go postal.”
Police say when they talked to the suspect, he gave the same response.
He also allegedly said he called employees in HR derogatory names because someone kept messing up his checks.
The suspect was arrested at his home and was charged with one count of making terrorist threats that intended to cause public panic and fear.
