Wisconsin’s Sixth District congressman will be a part of some new committees in the 119th Congress.
Republican Congressman Glenn Grothman announced he was named Chairman of the Healthcare and Financial Services Subcommittee.
The subcommittee allows oversight over federal healthcare policy, food and drug safety, federal entitlement programs, monetary policy, and more. Grothman was also one of 23 members appointed to the Republican Policy Committee.
Along with other subcommittees, he will continue to serve on the House Committee on the Budget, Education, and Workforce and the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Grothman said, “I’m ready to work in the 119th Congress to hold government agencies and officials accountable, promote all forms of higher education and technical training, and restore fiscal responsibility in Washington.”
