A new ambulance will soon be in use in the City of Two Rivers.
The Two Rivers Fire Department has announced recently received the delivery of a remounted ambulance from Braun Ambulance Remount.
The newly received vehicle will replace the department’s ambulance five, which was 14 years old and experiencing persistent mechanical issues prior to being taken out of service.
However, the previous ambulance’s box was refurbished and remounted on a new chassis saving the city a significant amount of money.
By remounting the box on the new chassis rather than buying a completely new ambulance, $190,000 was saved.
The new ambulance is expected to be put into use later this month or in early February.
The Two Rivers Fire Department thanked North Central Emergency Vehicles for facilitating the purchase of their newly acquired ambulance.
