A thirteen-mile pursuit ended with a partially damaged Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy and civilian vehicles.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says they tried to pull over a 31-year-old Cecil man on Interstate 41 South near County Trunk N in the Township of Eldorado because he was driving on the gravel shoulder.
A sheriff’s deputy tried to pull the vehicle over, but the suspect fled and continued driving recklessly.
The man drove across both lanes of traffic on the interstate and continued using the shoulder.
Wisconsin State Patrol was able to use tire deflation devices on I-41 near Lost Arrow Road, which caused the suspect to lose control of the vehicle and go into a ditch, where the vehicle crashed.
The Cecil man was arrested after a short foot pursuit.
He was later taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation.
The 31-year-old will face charges of felony fleeing and eluding and 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety.
The sheriff’s vehicle was damaged due to tire debris, while the civilian’s car was damaged because of the gravel on the shoulder.
