Just like they have the past three years, the gas prices in Eastern Wisconsin skyrocketed over the past week.
According to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, the average price per gallon across all Manitowoc County gas stations is $2.94, nine cents higher than this time last week.
The only county in the area with a bigger jump was Calumet County, which saw a 13-cent increase to $2.97.
Sheboygan County reported a five cent bump to $2.89, leaving them with the least expensive fuel in the area, while Coutagamie County saw a seven cent increase to $2.90.
Kewaunee County’s fuel is eight cents more expensive, with an average of $2.99, while Brown and Door County motorists are paying four cents more, with averages of $2.96 and $2.98, respectively.
The state average is up six cents to $2.93, while the national average is at $3.13, four cents higher than last week.
