Organizations from our area are teaming up to assist businesses with hiring veterans.
Operation Hire: How to be a Veteran Ready Employer will take place between 8:00 a.m. and noon on March 4th at the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center in Manitowoc.
Operation Hire is designed to help businesses understand the value of hiring veterans while creating a supportive work environment for them.
Those in attendance will learn some practical strategies to attract, retain, and engage veteran employees.
This is a collaborative event being put on by the Chamber Manitowoc County, Progress Lakeshore, the Lakeshore Area Human Resource Association, and the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce (WVCC).
Guest speakers set to talk to those in attendance include WVCC Vice President Zach Zabel and Rebecca Deschane of New North.
Registration for the event is required and will cost $30 per person.
