A renovation project at Chilton Elementary School has received an award from Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin.
The project, which was conducted by Hoffman Planning, Design, & Construction Inc., was named a 2024 BUILD Wisconsin Award winner in the Commercial – Renovation category.
The renovation project was part of the Chilton Public School’s $19.3 million referendum passed in April 2022.
The remodel of the 36,000-square-foot elementary school began in May 2024 with the conclusion of the school year and was completed in just 83 days, prior to the start of the 2024-2025 academic year.
Collaborating with the District, Hoffman transformed a school originally built in the 1970s into a warm, welcoming, healthy, modern, and safe learning environment.
Susan Kaphingst, Superintendent of Chilton Public Schools, said of the project, “We couldn’t have picked a better design and construction partner than Hoffman. Together, we took an elementary school, wiped out the entire interior, and built something on the inside that leaves people speechless.”
