Two people are in police custody after a search warrant was executed on a Manitowoc home.
The Manitowoc Police Department conducted a search of a home in the 1300 block of South 22nd Street on Monday (January 20th) after receiving complaints of controlled substances being sold at the address.
A 41-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were found in the home, and both agreed to speak with officers.
The woman admitted that they both had smoked methamphetamine and fentanyl.
The man corroborated that fact, but both said they were not aware of any drugs in the home.
However, a baggie of drugs was located inside a couch where the man was sitting and in his bedroom.
Also present was a child the two share, who was taken by the Manitowoc County Department of Human Services to be placed in temporary placement.
Both suspects were charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and Drug Paraphernalia, as well as Child Neglect, while the woman was also charged with Felony Bail Jumping.
