A police officer in Appleton is being commended for going above and beyond to help out a resident.
Last week, during a traffic stop, Officer Norris with the Appleton Police Department learned that the driver had an active warrant for their arrest.
The driver was arrested; however, Officer Norris realized the man was in the middle of completing a grocery delivery order for an Appleton resident.
Norris then ensured the groceries were delivered promptly by completing the delivery himself, preventing unnecessary inconvenience for all involved.
After the incident, The Appleton Police Department took to social media to commend and recognize Officer Norris for going above and beyond in his professionalism, compassion, and dedication to serving the community and its residents.
