The Manitowoc Warming Shelter is looking for people to sign up for an annual walking fundraiser.
The Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly fundraising walk that supports local charities.
The 3K walk also helps be in solidarity with those living in homelessness.
The walk takes place on Saturday, February 22nd at 4:00 p.m. and beings and ends at First Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.
If you don’t want to walk, the warming shelter is also looking to raise $20,000. So far, about eight teams and 12 walkers have signed up.
Those walking should bring a cell phone for emergencies, a good warm coat, hat and gloves, and good walking shoes.
