
The Kiwanis Club of Manitowoc County is investing in youth initiatives.
More than $14,000 in financial support will go toward one special event and several local youth programs.
The Annual Kiwanis Club Christmas Party for Children with Special Needs will get a portion of the money, as will youth sports teams, scouting, and literacy programs.
Contributions also fund iPads for autistic children as well as support for the Salvation Army.
Lastly, $3,000 in scholarships to graduating students at Manitowoc High Schools were given out last year.
The funds for the Kiwanis Club of Manitowoc County were raised through their annual golf outing, which takes place on June 6th of this year.
The Kiwanis Car Show takes place on August 10th and raises money for the organization.
Club President Aaron Erdmann expressed his gratitude, saying, “Contributions and participation are vital to helping us fulfill our mission. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of children.”
