Manitowoc United fell to the Oregon Panthers on Saturday (January 18th) 12-1.
United was back on home ice after a four-game road streak for senior night, where Goaltender Dan Karlin from Two Rivers, Forward Aragon Jack of Mishicot, and Equipment Manager Laci Kitzman of Manitowoc Lincoln were honored.
In the first period, the Panthers got off to a four-goal start, but Lincoln High School junior Ethan Christensen countered with a rebound goal.
It was all Oregon the rest of the way, as they secured the 11-goal win. Netminder Dan Karlin, a senior at Two Rivers High School, made 27 saves on the night.
Manitowoc United will be competing in a tournament next weekend at Cornerstone Ice Center in Green Bay on Thursday through Saturday, with the other teams being Ashwaubenon, Bay Port, De Pere, Notre Dame, and Sheboygan.
