James Last, who was once a Make-A-Wish child, recalls a memorable moment with Brewers announcer Bob Uecker when he was just six years old.
Last, who had undergone surgery to remove a large brain tumor at the age of one, was granted a wish to join Uecker in the broadcast booth during a Brewers-Dodgers game in 2009.
Uecker, known for his humor, famously offered the young boy a Miller Lite.
The president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Wisconsin shared that Uecker’s involvement in granting wishes has been extensive, including a significant personal donation to the organization.
