
A man who robbed a bank has been arrested in Appleton.
The Appleton Police Department was called to the 100 block of South State Street yesterday (January 14th) just before 11:00 a.m. on a report of a bank being robbed.
Upon arrival, witnesses and bank employees had told police officers that a man had entered the establishment, demanded money, and fled the scene.
They were also provided a detailed description of the male suspect’s appearance and the vehicle in which he left the scene.
Thanks to those crucial details, within minutes, the suspect, 63-year-old Martin Schiedermayer, was located and taken into custody.
Schiedermayer is being held in the Outagamie County Jail, where he faces charges of Robbery.
No injuries were reported during the incident, and all the stolen money was recovered by officers at the Appleton Police Department.
