A Manitowoc-based food company is adding some new products.
Lakeside Foods announced it’s expanding by creating frozen breaded appetizers, including green beans, pickles, and Wisconsin cheese curds.
The items will be available for private label retail stores and food service distribution to convenience stores and restaurants, with several retailers already placing orders.
Vice President of marking Trey Taylor says, “These newest products align with eating trends we’re watching, including the growth of frozen breaded appetizers and snacks.”
Lakeside Foods is also expanding its canned food line with canned organic garbanzo and black beans.
The food distributor announced that they would be closing their Manitowoc plant location after acquiring an Oregon-based food distribution plant.
