Several thousand pounds of frozen chicken and cheese taquito products are being recalled.
Bestway Sandwiches Inc. announced the recall because the taquitos may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically metal.
The products are labeled as Casa Mamita Chicken and Cheese Taquitos with a best buy date of 07/03/25 and 09/25/25 on the bottom.
The frozen taquitos were shipped to select Aldi grocery stores nationwide.
The problem was discovered after the firm notified the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service group after a consumer complaint reporting that a piece of metal was found in one of the products and another reported a dental injury.
Consumers who’ve purchased the products should throw away or return the taquitos to the place of purchase.
