A new leader of the Sheboygan Police Department may be named today.
The Sheboygan Board of Police and Fire Commissioners is set to hold a special meeting this evening at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, where the main item on the agenda is for the Commission to make a recommendation for the next Chief of Police.
The search for a new Chief has been ongoing for several months after current Chief Chris Domagalski announced his upcoming retirement in early November.
Chief Domagalski took over the position in January of 2010 and will have his final day on the job on January 20th.
In December, the Commission named three finalists, all of whom currently work in the department.
They are Assistant Chief Kurt Zempel, Captain of Patrol Joel Kuszynski, and Captain of Investigations Doug Teunissen.
