Manitowoc United hockey suffered another tough loss over the weekend.
United fell 5-2 in Neenah despite a solid first period defensively.
Neither team could produce a goal despite some strong chances for Manitowoc.
The second period had a different atmosphere, with Neenah getting on the board only 25 seconds into the period.
A few seconds later, United Captain Benson Dickrell made his defender stumble in awe as he deked past him and found the back of the net with a beautiful shot to tie the game 1-1.
The Rockets responded quickly, going up 2-1 shortly after, but for the remainder of the second period, it was a goaltending showdown.
Neenah would notch two more in the 3rd, and United Junor Ethan Christensen got a rebound goal to cut the lead in half.
The Rockets would add an empty net goal to seal the win.
United goalie Dan Karlin ended with 26 saves on the night, as untied falls to 1-9 on the season.
Up next for United is another road contest this Thursday against Waupun.
