Bond is set at $5 million for New Lisbon triple homicide suspect Virgil Thew.
He was taken into custody in Elroy last Thursday after law enforcement got a tip from the public.
A Juneau County judge ruled the high bond amount was appropriate during a hearing on Friday afternoon.
Prosecutors say Thew has admitted to killing Elizabeth Kolba and her two daughters and then attempting to avoid capture.
He has another court appearance scheduled for today.
