Suzanne M. Avery, age 80, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Suzie was born on April 19, 1944 in Manitowoc to the late Clarence and Alma (Reitmeyer) Carbon. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1964. Suzie had worked at Manitowoc Engineering in the Service Department, and then went on to work at Foster Needle as a receptionist from where she retired. On January 1, 1994, Suzie married Randall “Buster” Avery in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on October 5, 2022. As a vivacious young woman, Suzie enjoyed entertaining her friends and family. She loved her cats, going barefoot, and singing along with Elvis and country music.
Survivors include Suzie’s sister, Marilyn Johnsrud Schilling; two brothers, Donald J. Carbon and David (Jean) Carbon; two grandsons, Dylan Meyer and Matt Krogman; six nieces and nephews, daughter-in-law, Michelle Meyer; best friend, Mary Beth Skrepensky. Suzie was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Alma Carbon; husband, Randall “Buster” Avery; son, Derek Meyer; and brother, Clarence (Liese) Carbon.
