The Sheboygan Police Department has given clarification regarding the recent legal action of one of its Lieutenants.
The department has confirmed the legal action is not a civil suit filed by Lieutenant William Adams but rather an appeal of disciplinary action against the Lieutenant.
The appeal suggests that Adams is attempting to appeal a suspension given to him by the department.
Since October, numerous Special Board of Police and Fire Commissioners meetings were scheduled to discuss Adams’ conduct with the intent to “consider the dismissal, demotion, or suspension of Lieutenant William Adams.”
This appeal comes as a result of the findings by the Police and Fire Commissioners meetings over the past three months.
