A new residential development in Two Rivers has been approved.
The city council voted unanimously last night (January 6th) to approve the site and architectural plans for two multi-family apartment buildings in the 3000 block of Forest Avenue.
Each building would be three stories tall and have eight one-bedroom apartments and eighteen two-bedroom apartments.
City Manager Greg Buckley reminded the council that during a joint session with the Plan Commission that a written concurrence with the owner of the Dollar General on Mishicot Avenue needed to be accepted.
The council also added easements for sidewalks, as shown in the site plan.
Buckley finished by saying the city needs more apartments, which is a good start.
No one spoke during a public hearing held before the apartments were unanimously approved by the council.
The land used to be where the Hansen Florist Building stood before it was torn down.
