A car crash in Calumet County has claimed one life.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office was called to Highway 57 south of County Highway K in the Town of Brillion yesterday (January 6th) just after 5:30 p.m.
The initial call stated it was a two-vehicle crash.
Preliminary investigations show a northbound SUV, driven by a 69-year-old Green Bay man, crossed over the center line and struck a southbound pickup truck head-on.
The 69-year-old was later pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the SUV, a 52-year-old Green Bay woman, and the driver of the pickup truck, a 59-year-old man from Sherwood, were transported to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah for non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Sheriff’s Deputies, and the identities of those involved are being withheld at this time.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Gold Cross Ambulance, Brillion First Responders, Forest Junction Fire Department, Brillion Fire Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Calumet County Medical Examiner’s Office.
