With an uptick in illnesses spreading throughout the area, Aurora is once again requiring masks.
An Aurora Healthcare spokesperson told SeehaferNews.com, “For the safety of our patients, we are temporarily requiring visitors to wear masks when in contact with patients or in congregate areas, including patient rooms and other areas designated by signage.”
The spread of a specific illness was not given for the change, but the Aurora Healthcare website is asking anyone who plans on visiting any Aurora hospital to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms.
You are encouraged to have yourself tested if you have experienced chills, a fever, new loss of taste or smell, coughing, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, sore throat, nausea, or congestion within the past 10 days.
A representative from Froedtert Holy Family Memorial told us, “We continue to assess the impact of this winter’s viral season. At this time, masking in our facilities remains optional for patients, visitors and team members except those who have a fever, sore throat, runny nose or cough.”
The Bellin Health website still lists masks as optional as well.
